Classical Ballet
The Royal Academy of Dance in London, England, was established in 1920. It is the largest dance teaching and training organization in the world.
In the RAD dance syllabus, there is the Graded Examinations syllabus, consisting of 3 disciplines:
- Classical
- Free Movement
- Character
Children can start training as early as 3 1/2 years old in Movement and Rhythm classes.
The graded examinations starts from 7 years old, with Primary to Grade 8 awards.
For more advanced students, there is the Vocational Graded Examination syllabus which has 6 levels:
- Intermediate Foundation
- Intermediate
- Advanced Foundation
- Advanced 1 & 2
- Solo Seal Award
