Daniel D. Cabrera
Trained with some of the Philippines most talented and respected artists like Douglas Nierras of Power Dance, James Loforteza, Ms. Maribeth Bitchara, Rene of The Maneouvers, Chinie Nepomuceno of TRUMPETS, and the late Joy Coronel – Paolelli of Dance Incorporated.
Apart from dance, Daniel's interest and passion extends to theater as well. He has been part of several theater productions under premiere theater groups such as TRUMPETS and the Repertory Philippines – shows like “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe”, “Pinocchio”, “Jack and the Beanstalk”, and “Cinderella” under the former, and “Footloose” under the latter.
His passion for dancing brought him to the finals of Star Dance in one of the leading stations of his country (ABS-CBN, Philippines). He has been a part of L Crew, a successful dance team also in his country. His exceptional talent and mastery of his craft also paved way for him to be a dance coach in “Pinoy Dream Academy” (PDA), a reality-based, next-singing-sensation-search in ABS-CBN primetime. He was also the team leader/choreographer of “Dream Team”, the official group formed especially for the earlier mentioned show. He recently choreographed the first Philippine production of Disney’s “High School Musical” under Ateneo Blue Repertory which was staged in February 2007.
